Library Cards: To use the Shasta County Library, you will need a free library card. All you'll need to do is provide proof of current address and the name and address of a reference (an employer or another person in Shasta County). If you lose your library card, you will be charged for a duplicate card.
Your Responsibility: You are to notify the Library if you change your name, address, or phone number and notify the Library if your library card is lost or stolen.
Loan Period: Most books check out for 3 weeks and some books and all magazines check out for 1 week.
Renewals: Most materials can be renewed if there are no requests on the material. Materials can only be renewed by returning them to the branch from which the material was checked out. We regret that we are unable to renew by phone.
